K.K. Downing, born Kenneth Downing on October 27, 1951, is an English guitarist best known as a founding member of the heavy metal band Judas Priest. Downing’s guitar work is characterized by its intricate solos and harmonized riffs, which have become a defining feature of the band's sound. He played a crucial role in shaping the heavy metal genre, particularly in the late 1970s and 1980s.
